LabMouse
Behavioural Analysis of Rodents using Artificial Intelligence
LabMouse is an innovative solution that uses artificial intelligence to monitor and analyse rodent behaviour in real time, offering faster and more accurate results for scientific research. This revolutionary technology is designed to transform the way laboratory animal experiments are conducted, providing continuous and detailed observation of rodent behaviour.
The LabMouse system is compatible with existing equipment in laboratories and allows you to monitor animals without altering their environment or habits.
Using thermal images, LabMouse allows you to monitor animals without disturbing them and without the need for additional lights.
- Compatible with the Rack and Ventilation System
- 2 Thermal Cameras per Cage
- 1-4 Cages per PC
- 1-2 Mice per Cage

Rodent Behavioral Monitoring
Animal behavior monitoring is crucial in clinical drug trials across various medical fields, including neurological and psychological disorders. By systematically observing animal behavior, researchers can detect subtle changes that may indicate medication efficacy or adverse effects, such as alterations in nutrition, grooming, or activity levels.
These behavioral changes can reflect underlying shifts in the animal's physiological or metabolic processes influenced by the drug. This provides early indicators of the medication's impact on overall health and bodily function. Such comprehensive assessment helps ensure the safety and efficacy of new treatments, guiding dosage adjustments and identifying potential risks before human trials begin.
Using wireless sensors and machine learning algorithms, LabMouse can identify and classify a wide range of rodent behaviors with precision
Analysing 1 or 2 Animals
LabMouse is a tool capable of managing a single animal in a cage or up to two animals. In the case of two animals, LabMouse allows you to track them individually, analysing their behaviour, position, dynamics, posture and activity. In addition, LabMouse monitors the social behaviour and interaction between the two animals.

Use Cases
Rodent Selection
Rodents exhibit distinct characteristics and strong social behavior. Our current
generation of cognitive infrared cameras can observe up to two rodents at a
time. Selecting two rodents with similar characteristics enhances variation
detection. Therefore, one application is to identify rodents with similar
characteristics for growth acquaintance and experiment selection.
Medical Trials
Extended observation of rodent behaviors, to detect subtle changes related to
drug efficacy or adverse effects, through alterations in feeding patterns,
grooming, and activity levels
Welfare Monitoring
Monitor constantly the welfare of the animal within the animal facility. Reduce
the need of sentinel animal.

The Institut Pasteur is an internationally renowned center for
biomedical research that stands out in many disciplines. It is
dedicated to the study of biology, micro-organisms, diseases,
and vaccines. It is named after Louis Pasteur, who invented
pasteurization and vaccines for anthrax and rabies. The
institute was founded on 4 June 1887 and inaugurated on 14
November 1888
System was developed and validated using Pasteur Institute animal facility.
System was tested on multiple genetic and multiple type and size of mice to
insure its robustness. Weeks of recording have been performed to secure the
best performance and the reliability and stability of the system.
